Why do we do what we do? Premier Outdoor Experts wants to leave the land in better environmental condition for the future generations. As an Environmental Restoration Technician for many years, my main responsibility included restoration of damaged ecosystems by analyzing the environmental conditions, planning a replacement native plant design, and incorporating these changes to restore the environment. During this process, we often excavated excessive rock fill and debris, added topsoil and compost, inoculated the disturbed environment with fungi and other beneficial microorganisms, and planted the native plants. Irrigation installation and maintenance is often involved in these restoration projects as well. All this work to replace disrupted aspects of nature. Let's make it easier on the future generations. In fact, we may need all the land in better environmental quality just to sustain the constantly growing population of tomorrow.
We are able to offer the Sustainable edge in that we do not use any agricultural chemicals on any of the landscapes we work on. This protects the environment and the kids that play in the landscapes too. We specialize in native plants that are adapted to each landscape in order to decrease the maintenance and costs. These native plants require less water and fertilizer, while increasing the biodiversity of your lawn and protecting the local water quality.

Hello, I am the owner and my name is Keegan Nelson. I have a passion for sustainable landscape construction, environmental restoration, ecological horticulture, and nature. I graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Ecological Horticulture, and the option of Plant Breeding and Genetics.
